Qigong


Qigong is a Meditative movement therapy that was developed in China around 5000 years ago. It translates as ‘the skill or mastery of working with vital energy’.  It uses a combination of posture, breathing, intention and repetitive movements to move the energy (Qi) through the body’s channels in order to create flow, strength and freedom in the mind, body and spirit.

The Shi Ba Shi system is one of the more popular of the Qigong systems and widely practised across the globe. It consists of 18 gentle flowing movements, with each focusing on particular health benefits, including slowing down the aging process!

What to expect?

Each class will begin with a gentle warm up of the body, and followed by the teaching and flow of the movements. Each class will differ, with the teacher choosing a select few movements to focus on and learn about. All levels welcome.
