Yin Yoga provides an opportunity to slow down, to go within and to go deep. On a mental and emotional level a yin practice allows the body to drop down into the parasympathetic system, the rest and digest system. It is a very grounding, calming, and soothing practice.
What to expect
Yin yoga is a slow paced style of yoga where the postures are held for longer, anywhere from 1-5 minutes, yin yoga targets and stretches the deep connective tissues, ligaments and joints.
